Job summary

The Learning Circle in Missouri is seeking a Full-Time Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our school family. We emphasize play, exploration, and meaningful relationships to help children build confidence, independence, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in ECE or extensive lead teacher experience in a play-based setting.
• 2–5 years of experience with play-based instruction or curriculum preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with our play-based philosophy.
• Facilitate learning through purposeful play and hands-on experiences.
• Support children's social-emotional development through modeling, guidance, and instruction.
• Create a nurturing classroom environment encouraging curiosity, independence, and discovery.

Full-Time Early Childhood Education Teacher

The Learning Circle is growing—and we’re looking for exceptional educators to join our school family.

We are seeking Full-Time Early Childhood Education Teachers who are passionate about early education and committed to putting the needs of children first.

We’re looking for educators who bring experience and enthusiasm to the classroom while remaining eager to learn, grow, and embrace new approaches to early childhood education.

What You'll Do

• Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with our play-based educational philosophy
• Facilitate learning through purposeful play, exploration, and hands-on experiences
• Support children's social-emotional development through modeling, guidance, and direct instruction
• Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and discovery
• Collaborate effectively with assistant teachers and other members of our school team
• Conduct formal and informal assessments to monitor children's development and adapt instruction
• Communicate professionally and knowledgeably with families regarding their child's development and progress
• Utilize effective classroom management strategies and developmentally appropriate practices
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom in accordance with state licensing and sanitation requirements

Education & Experience

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education OR extensive Lead Teacher experience in a similar play-based early learning environment required
• 2-5 years of experience with play-based instruction or curriculum highly preferred

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

• Lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Easily transition between standing and sitting on the floor
• Participate in gross motor activities with children
• Perform classroom tasks including sweeping, mopping, cleaning, and organizing

Background Screening

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing required criminal background screening and fingerprinting.
