The Learning Circle in Missouri seeks passionate Early Childhood Education Teachers for Full-Time or Part-Time roles. We build a school family that puts children first and believes learning happens best through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships.

Teachers design engaging experiences that help children develop confidence, independence, curiosity, social-emotional skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with standards.
• Use developmentally appropriate teaching practices in early childhood education.
• Support children’s social-emotional development through guidance and instruction.
• Collaborate with teachers to foster a nurturing classroom that encourages curiosity, exploration, and independence.
• Conduct assessments to monitor development and adapt teaching practices accordingly.
• Communicate professionally with families about child development and progress.
• Engage children through purposeful play to facilitate learning.
• Manage the classroom with positive, developmentally appropriate strategies.
• Keep the classroom clean, safe, and welcoming per licensing requirements.

Early Childhood Education Teacher

Responsibilities

• Create and/or implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with school standards and our play-based learning philosophy
• Follow developmentally appropriate teaching practices and best practices in early childhood education
• Foster children’s social-emotional development through modeling, guidance, and direct instruction
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and independence
• Complete formal and informal assessments to monitor children’s development and adapt teaching practices accordingly
• Communicate professionally and knowledgeably with families regarding their child’s development and progress
• Actively engage with children and facilitate learning through purposeful play
• Demonstrate effective classroom management using positive, developmentally appropriate strategies
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming classroom in accordance with state licensing and sanitation requirements

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Easily transition between standing and sitting on the floor
• Perform classroom-related tasks including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, cleaning, and organizing
• Actively participate in indoor and outdoor gross motor activities with children

Background Screening Requirements

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required criminal background screening and fingerprinting.
