BrightPath Kids in Kenvil, NJ is hiring a Lead Teacher to join our Busy Bees community. You will work with teachers and families to offer a home away from home for children, following NAEYC standards.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or Head Teacher certification with 2+ years in licensed childcare. We value strong customer service, organization, and multitasking skills within standard hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or Head Teacher certification.
• 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks–12 years in one classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum per NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, clean, safe environment that permits children to grow and explore.
• Partner with families to create plans to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.

What will you be doing?

As a Lead Teacher, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to NAEYC guidelines. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years in one assigned classroom.
• Creating developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
• Curating programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Partnering with families to create plans to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
