Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Rockaway, NJ is seeking a Lead Teacher to work closely with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, following NAEYC guidelines. Responsibilities include supervising ages 6 weeks through 12 years in one classroom and creating developmentally appropriate activities.

You will partner with families to support the best care and education, and maintain a warm, safe environment with clear communication to parents.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field or CDA credential or Head Teacher certification or 15 credits in Early Childhood Education.
• 2+ years of licensed child care facility experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills are required.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in one assigned classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum per NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children's interests and learning styles.

What will you be doing?

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks - 12 years in one assigned classroom.
