Job summary

The Nurturing Nook, Inc. in Fox Point is seeking a Lead Teacher for our Toddler and Preschool classrooms. This licensed childcare center offers a supportive environment and competitive benefits.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass all background checks. WI Registry Level 6+ preferred. The position runs Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with compensation of $16–$18 per hour depending on education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teachers with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the center's philosophy and goals.
• Implement activities that promote each child's growth in emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive feedback, and make improvements to the program.
• Create and maintain a clean, safe environment for all children.
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Physically able to work around small children (sitting, standing, walking, running, stairs).
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Foster inclusive, respectful care and support in line with center policies.

The Nurturing Nook in Fox Point is a licensed childcare center seeking a Lead Teacher for our Toddler and Preschool age classrooms!

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED and the ability to pass all background checks. Level 6 or higher on the WI Registry preferred.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm

Compensation: $16-$18/hr, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:
