The Nurturing Nook in Fox Point, WI is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Preschool classroom. You will assist the lead teacher and help create a safe, engaging environment for early learners.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of licensed classroom experience, Intro to Childcare, and the ability to pass background checks. Monday–Friday, 8:15am–5:15pm with competitive pay and benefits.

• Build professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Maintain the physical ability to work around small children (sitting, standing, walking, running, stairs).
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.

Description

The Nurturing Nook in Fox Point is a licensed childcare center seeking an Assistant Teacher to support the Preschool classroom.

Preschool Classroom

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED and the ability to pass all background checks. One year experience in a licensed classroom setting and Intro to Childcare must be completed.

Required Shift

Monday - Friday, 8:15am-5:15pm

Compensation

$15-17/hr, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
