Job summary

Beacon Hill Schools is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our Bogart location. You will support the Lead Teacher, deliver lessons, and foster a warm, nurturing classroom environment Monday–Friday.

You will care for children, assist with routines, and help maintain a safe, engaging space. We value teamwork, reliability, and a passion for early childhood education.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• CDA/TCC or pursuing early childhood credential preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of licensed childcare experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Must pass all required background checks and meet DECAL requirements.
• Team-player attitude and love for working with children.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stay engaged throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher with daily lessons and routines using the Frog Street curriculum.
• Assist with caregiving tasks including diapering, toileting, and meal routines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Assist with classroom management and encourage positive behavior.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, rest time, and transitions.
• Foster relationships with students and families through kind, professional interactions.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements and school policies.

Summary

Pay: $14.00-$20.00/hour, based on education and experience

• A team-player attitude with a love for working with children
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stay actively engaged throughout the day
