Crusoe seeks a Principal Systems Software Architect to lead the design of next‑gen AI infrastructure, unifying BMaaS, Intelligent IaaS and Elastic CaaS. You will guide hardware/software co‑design with hyperscale expertise and hands‑on kernel, RDMA and GPU scheduling work.

The role demands 12+ years of experience, strong leadership, and a track record in OSS or research. This is a full‑time position at Crusoe with significant equity and impact.

Qualifications

• 12+ years designing and shipping core infrastructure at a hyperscaler or HPC cloud.
• Authoritative knowledge of the Linux kernel and virtualization internals.
• Proven hardware-software co-design for GPUs and high-speed NICs.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and R&D management skills.
• Open-source contributions or notable industry impact.
• Excellent communication to translate complex tech to leadership.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/CE or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead unifying infrastructure pillars: BMaaS, Intelligent IaaS, Elastic CaaS.
• Architect SR‑IOV, RDMA, and virtualized GPU scheduling.
• Guide architectural roadmap and publish RFCs/white papers.
• Mentor elite R&D teams and drive production-grade systems.
• Represent Crusoe in OSS communities and industry forums.
• Debug race conditions and optimize kernel memory pinning for GPUs.
• Collaborate with execs to align hardware/software co-design goals.
