Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Systems Engineering Manager 2 for Roy, UT. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, drive systems engineering lifecycle activities, and own critical interfaces and verification plans.

The role requires a Secret clearance (Top Secret possible) and offers relocation assistance. Expect travel up to 10% and a 9/80 work schedule with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM with related experience.
• Active U.S. government Secret clearance or higher, with ability to obtain Top Secret.
• Minimum 2 years in Systems Engineering Lifecycle across requirements, architecture, verification and interface definition.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and programmatic leadership for a team of ~10 FTE in systems engineering functions.
• Serve as Work Package Lead (WPL) with responsibility for cost, schedule and earned value.
• Review OPSCON documentation to understand requirements decomposition for support equipment.
• Create OPSCON documentation to identify activities and equipment for maintaining prime mission gear.
• Develop interface products ( Interface Requirements, Description, and Interface Control Model).
• Develop and mature verification applicability matrix (VAM) within the spec tree.
• Define requirements and verification approaches for 200+ pieces of equipment.
• Oversee employee performance, mentorship, training and career development.
