Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises in Huntsville, AL seeks a Lead Systems Engineer to support MDA THAAD FMS cases and provide systems engineering and interoperability guidance with international partners.

You will assist the Engineering Lead with force design, participate in data link architecture discussions, and coordinate across government and contractor teams to resolve technical issues. Strong leadership and DoD program experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in STEM with 12+ years on missile defense or similar large DoD programs.
• At least 10 years of related professional experience.
• Technical understanding and experience with THAAD.
• Experience with DoD MILSATCOM terrestrial and satellite systems.
• Ability to develop and present reports to senior management; strong written and verbal skills.
• Ability to lead teams and work independently; strong problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with MDA, BMDS, and THAAD Program Office activities.
• Proficient in system engineering and execution processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver systems and interoperability engineering, analysis, and guidance for THAAD with international partners.
• Assist Engineering Lead in managing technical aspects of force design work.
• Assist with international Tactical Data Link Architecture and data link conferences.
• Coordinate force design efforts with external agencies and stakeholders.
• Identify deficiencies in design reviews and provide corrective options.
• Document and communicate technical findings clearly to senior decision makers.
• Participate in regular and ad hoc force design meetings and exchanges.
