Job summary

KBR in the Washington DC metropolitan area seeks a Chief Systems Engineer to lead systems engineering and integration efforts for a government customer. The role influences national security through advanced engineering and mission IT.

You will oversee requirements engineering, architecture, and verification across NSG, ASG and federal agencies, and coordinate senior/junior contractor engineers. A TS/SCI clearance and strong MBSE background are expected.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of experience in systems engineering or related fields.
• Master’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or related STEM field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a Poly.
• Expert-level experience with DoD/IC Acquisition Process, PPBES.

Responsibilities

• Direct requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, and test across NSG, ASG and agencies.
• Plan and analyze requirements, architecture traceability, and cloud/service capabilities.
• Advise on changes to solution designs based on requirements and new tech.
• Translate mission needs into system requirements and solutions.
• Support system integration activities and AoA/CoA/Trade Studies.
• Provide strategic technical planning and risk management guidance.
• Oversee Senior-, Mid-, and Junior contractor engineers.
