Job summary

Globus Medical is seeking a Software Engineer to develop high-quality software for Globus Medical products, collaborating with product and clinical teams to understand user needs and contribute across the lifecycle from design to release. The scope may include applications, UI, services, data, algorithms, devices, or firmware.

The role requires strength in at least one software area and breadth to work with adjacent parts of the product, with travel up to 10% and a focus on quality,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or another technical field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with designing, implementing, debugging, and testing software in at least one language.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and ensuring security/confidentiality.
• Knowledge of source control, code review, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Translate clinical, user, and product needs into software behavior, designs, interfaces, and verification approaches.
• Design, implement, debug, and test production-quality software using established engineering practices.
• Develop prototypes and proofs of concept when needed to evaluate product ideas.
• Integrate software with adjacent components and systems relevant to the product area.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, and release activities.
• Contribute to medical-device software documentation and follow quality and cybersecurity processes.
