Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join the JPALS team. You will contribute to datalink/communications, sensors, and testing, working across the engineering lifecycle in a lab-heavy role on Precision Navigation systems.

The role requires a SECRET clearance, U.S. citizenship, and a strong background in environmental and EMI testing with avionics and radio hardware. Onsite work with relocation benefits may apply.

Qualifications

• In-depth experience with Environmental and Electromagnetic Qualification testing on customer hardware.
• Experience investigating product defects in advanced radio communications equipment and avionics LRUs.
• Ability to review mechanical drawings and schematics and perform system-level analyses.

Responsibilities

• Be involved in the design of new Precision Approach and Landing equipment.
• Perform hands-on lab testing in a controlled environment.
• Analyze customer requirements and translate them into hardware/software specifications.
• Lead verification, validation, and system integration activities across the lifecycle.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet schedules and budgets.
