Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. seeks an experienced Manager Systems Design Engineer to lead research, design, and validation of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing, collaborating across hardware, firmware, and software teams.

You will define test strategies, ensure functional correctness, and guide pre-silicon to post-silicon execution, partnering with cross-functional leads to deliver high-quality AMD products on schedule.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
• Alternate: Bachelor’s degree + 7 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
• Define processes for hardware/software compatibility and test strategies.
• Lead cross-team collaboration from pre-silicon planning to customer launch.
• Guide debugging and test content, ensuring quality, margins, and performance.
• Translate system designs into practical solutions and prototypes.
