Job summary

PEMCCO is seeking a Lead Systems Administrator to provide technical leadership for enterprise information systems and infrastructure supporting critical government missions. This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional who thrives on solving complex technical challenges, leading modernization efforts, implementing best practices, and mentoring technical teams.

Qualifications

Ten years of systems administration, network administration, or IT support experience.
Advanced knowledge of servers, storage, virtualization, and OS technologies.
Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, access control, and system hardening practices.
Knowledge of backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and continuity planning processes.
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise information systems administration, maintenance, and security.
Develop and implement system administration strategies, standards and best practices.
Monitor system availability, performance, capacity, and security; recommend improvements.
Plan upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives; lead deployments.
Mentor systems administrators and coordinate cross-team activities.
Produce technical documentation and operational procedures.
