Qualifications

• Master's degree in a technical field and 10+ years in software engineering or related area.
• Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles, lifecycle processes, and design patterns.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required.
• Experience leading technical efforts and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to develop, review, and maintain technical documentation and software artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of software applications and systems.
• Analyze requirements and develop software solutions supporting operational objectives.
• Develop software architectures and system designs for complex development efforts.
• Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting across the SDLC.
• Support integration, verification, validation, and deployment activities.
• Evaluate performance and recommend enhancements for reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Ensure solutions comply with standards, security requirements, and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical assessments.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and engineering artifacts.
• Coordinate with engineers, admins, analysts, cybersecurity personnel, and stakeholders.
• Support configuration management and software release activities.
• Analyze and resolve complex defects and technical issues.
• Research emerging technologies and development methodologies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
