Job summary

Stater Bros. Markets, Inc. is seeking a Systems Administrator Lead to direct the Systems Administration team and align infrastructure with business needs. You will guide priorities, oversee projects, and serve as a senior technical advisor to IT leadership.

The role covers both on‑premises and cloud environments, including automation strategy, DR readiness, and complex troubleshooting across store locations. Travel is required to support deployments and testing.

Qualifications

Over 10 years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise Windows servers.
Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
Valid California driver’s license and ability to travel to store locations.
Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and related platforms.
Expertise with Azure, M365, Entra ID, Intune and cloud administration tools.
Experience with virtualization, containers, and on-premises/cloud integration.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight for the Systems Administration team, establishing priorities and aligning with department goals.
Lead infrastructure planning for modernization, resiliency, and scalability.
Oversee development and maintenance of standards, support models, and recovery procedures.
Coordinate resolution of complex technical issues with stakeholders and teams.
Monitor performance, capacity, availability, and service health to identify risks and improvements.
Champion changes balancing reliability, cost, and long-term maintainability.
Travel to retail stores for complex troubleshooting and rollout of new IT infrastructure.
Participate in annual Disaster Recovery testing and coordinate readiness activities.
