Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Lead System Architect to guide the architectural vision for complex federal health and human services platforms, including eligibility processing, document handling, and data exchanges. You will partner with IT leadership and CMS stakeholders to define secure, scalable solutions across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Qualifications

8+ years of architect experience on complex enterprise or mission systems.
US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Experience using industry-standard architecture frameworks and modeling methodologies.
Strong background in systems engineering, solution design, and multi-domain integration.

Responsibilities

Define and guide the architectural vision for end-to-end enterprise systems.
Lead decisions for containerized deployments and integrations across BPM platforms, rules engines, OCR/ICR, and data exchange APIs.
Evaluate and approve new COTS and AI/ML tools while ensuring FedRAMP authorization compliance.
Translate evolving policy requirements into actionable system design updates with minimal production disruption.
Own system security posture including ATO maintenance, FISMA compliance, and DLP controls.
Drive data architecture decisions for central databases and API integrations.
