Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Lead System Architect to shape the architecture for a large federal eligibility platform supporting CMS/CCIIO initiatives. You will define end-to-end designs across cloud and on‑prem environments and partner with IT leadership on modernization and governance.

Responsibilities include containerized deployments, integrations with BPM, OCR/ICR, and APIs; evaluate COTS/AI tools; ensure FedRAMP and FISMA compliance; and maintain security posture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of architect experience in complex enterprise or mission systems.
• Experience creating and managing enterprise architecture artifacts using industry-standard frameworks.
• Hands-on familiarity with cloud architectures, microservices, data engineering, and cybersecurity concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain end-to-end technical architecture for a large-scale federal eligibility processing platform.
• Lead architecture decisions for containerized deployments and system integrations (BPM, rules engines, OCR/ICR, APIs).
• Evaluate and approve COTS and AI/ML tools, ensuring FedRAMP authorization compliance.
