Qualifications

• Experience operating multi-line telephone systems and communication equipment.
• Familiarity with hospital codes, emergency procedures, and paging systems.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls promptly and route to appropriate departments or individuals.
• Provide information to patients, families, and staff in a courteous manner.
• Lead and support switchboard operators; oversee call center operations.
• Participate in training of new switchboard staff and monitor performance.
• Assist with scheduling and ensure adequate staffing coverage.
• Monitor emergency alarms and respond to alerts or codes per protocols.
• Maintain knowledge of facility departments, contact information, and communication protocols.
• Escalate operational or technical issues to management.
• Maintain regular attendance and adhere to policies.
