Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in CNC setup and operation within a precision environment.
• Proven expertise operating Swiss-style machines, specifically STAR, Citizen, or Tsugami platforms.
• Advanced proficiency with Fanuc control systems.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret complex blueprints and utilize precision measurement tools like CMMs, micrometers, and gauges.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain a consistent pace in a machine shop setting.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex setups on Swiss-type CNC equipment to ensure seamless production transitions.
• Operate and monitor Fanuc-controlled machinery to maintain high-volume output while meeting rigorous quality standards.
• Achieve consistent precision on tight-tolerance parts, frequently working to tolerances as precise as +/- .0002.
• Manage the full production lifecycle, from initial first-article inspection through final run completion.
• Perform proactive troubleshooting of tooling, offsets, and machine performance to minimize downtime.
• Utilize Mastercam or similar software to create or modify programs for new part introductions.
• Mentor junior operators to elevate team technical proficiency and overall shop floor performance.
• Ensure all documentation, blueprints, and job travelers are followed to maintain compliance with quality protocols.
