Job summary

C&W Swiss, Inc. is seeking a skilled Swiss CNC Machine Operator to join our team in Englewood, OH. We manufacture precision medical instruments, spinal implants, and bone screws using Star Swiss style CNC lathes in a clean, climate-controlled facility.

Responsibilities include set up, tooling, operation, edits, and minor programming, plus machining tight tolerance parts from drawings and performing quality checks to ensure specifications are met. Training others is also expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in Swiss CNC machining, with focus on precision parts.
• Experience with Star and/or Citizen Swiss machines and Fanuc controls.
• Ability to perform complex set ups and readings from drawings.
• Experience machining exotic materials and working to ISO quality standards.
• Capable of quality checks and training others where needed.

C&W Swiss manufactures precision medical instruments, spinal implants, and bone screws using Star Swiss Style CNC lathes. We are a family-owned machine shop that has been in business since 1998, operating first shift only. If you work for C&W Swiss you will be a name not a number, in our clean, well lit, climate-controlled facility.

• Machining tight tolerance parts working from drawings and blueprints
• Quality control checks of parts to detect defects and ensure parts meet specificationPerform routine maintenance on machinery
• Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and specialty gages

Qualifications:

• 10+ years experience
• Experience with Star and/or Citizen swiss machines
• Experience using Fanuc controls
• Ability to perform complex set ups
• Experience in machining exotic materials
• Experience in the medical device or aerospace industries
• Good understanding of the ISO quality standards
• Ability to perform quality checks
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills

• Ability to work well with and train others
• Strong Computer Skills and an understanding of Microsoft office and Windows 10
• Swiss CNC programming experience would be a plus!
