Job summary

British Swim School is hiring a Swim Instructor to teach lessons to children and adults, starting as young as 3 months, using our progressive methods. You will receive extensive training to build confidence in teaching swimmers of various abilities while having fun and making an impact on drowning prevention.

The role requires leading sessions, following a curriculum, and working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enthusiastic personality.
• Comfortable in and around water; strong swimming skills are a plus but can be taught.
• Must maintain certifications throughout employment.
• Must complete all required British Swim School Aquatics training and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead Instructor duties alongside aquatics manager and owners.
• Follow British Swim School curriculum to ensure safe and competent lessons.
• Work evenings (4pm-7pm), weekends (9am-1pm), and holidays as required by business needs.
• Maintain certifications throughout employment.
• Stand in water for up to 4 consecutive hours; noise levels usually moderate to high.
• Be reliable and dependable with good work ethics.
