Cross Island YMCA is seeking a part-time Swim Team Head Coach to lead the Cross Island Barracudas Swim Team in Queens. Responsibilities include coaching, creating workouts, maintaining records, and ensuring safety per YMCA policies.

The role requires coordination for meets and continuous communication with families and staff. The ideal candidate has coaching experience, Lifeguard or related certifications, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• College degree preferred
• Experience coaching youth in aquatic programs is preferred

Responsabilités

• Must be Instructor/Coach Ready: maintain lesson plans, attendance records, and meet results
• Instruct participants according to YMCA standards and create workouts for all team levels
• Attend mandatory in-service trainings and ensure safety rules and equipment readiness
• Schedule and accompany team members to local/away meets and manage registrations
