Job summary

A community-focused organization in Flushing is seeking a qualified Swim Coach responsible for maintaining safe pool conditions and implementing developmental swim programs. The ideal candidate will have coaching experience and necessary certifications, promoting a positive atmosphere within YMCA's aquatics framework. This position requires flexibility in scheduling to accommodate diverse program needs and active participation in staff training and certification maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of coaching experience.
• Current CPRO, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen certifications required.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Instruct participants according to YMCA aquatics program standards.
• Set up and run all practices and assist during team tryouts.
• Enforce aquatics safety rules consistently and fairly.

Skills

Coaching experience

Knowledge of Hy-Tek
