Job summary

The 92NY Flying Dolphins Swim Team, based on Manhattan's Upper East Side, seeks Lead Coach and Assistant Coaches for its Age Group Program. These are part-time, hourly roles based on practices and meets, with a May Center Gym Membership included.

Responsibilities include teaching stroke technique, developing swimmers' skills and confidence, and maintaining a positive team environment. Candidates must have USA Swimming coaching certification, Coaches Safety Training, CPR & First Aid, and pass a

Qualifications

• USA Swimming coaching certification required.
• CPR & First Aid and Coaches Safety Training completed.
• Previous experience coaching youth in age-group swimming.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and positive motivation.

Responsibilities

• Teach and reinforce proper swimming technique, including stroke mechanics, starts, turns, and finishes.
• Assist swimmers to develop their skills, confidence, fitness, and competitive abilities.
• Provide positive, constructive, and individualized feedback to support each athlete's development.
• Support a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, respect, and enjoyment of the sport.
• Collaborate with other coaching staff to implement training plans and coaching philosophy.
• Attend assigned meets and team events, assist with warm-ups, race preparation, and athlete feedback.
• Maintain a safe, organized, inclusive, and supportive environment during all practices and activities.
• Serve as a positive role model and represent 92NY and YFD professionally.
