Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Chief Surveyor for the North of Las Vegas, NV area. The role oversees field and geodetic surveys, maintains Government-compatible range target databases, and directs survey operations across multiple contract sites.

A lead position requiring five years in plane/geodetic survey and proficiency with total stations, GPS, AutoCAD, and MS Office. Applicants must be able to work outdoors, document field data precisely, and qualify for a Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of Plane and Geodetic Survey experience.
• Experience with field data collection using electronic survey measuring instruments.
• Working knowledge of surveying equipment including theodolite total station, levels, GPS.
• Proficient in PC, MS Office and AutoCAD; strong written and oral skills.
• Ability to qualify for and maintain a Secret Security Clearance; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for collection and maintenance of contract GIS docs for Range Target Operations.
• Oversee survey operations and ensure data quality.
• Develop work product and documentation per contract requirements.
• Manage Target Operations database accuracy and updates.
• Assist with Range Clean operations and update targets database promptly.
