Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC in Tennessee is seeking a Survey Platting Phase Manager to lead the platting and drafting team under the Survey Project Manager. You will manage staffing, schedules, QA/QC, and client coordination while upholding SAM quality standards and regulatory requirements.

You will mentor staff, oversee billing reviews within the platting department, and help shape procedures and SOPs to improve efficiency and project delivery across surveying projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of surveying/platted drafting experience.
• Experience leading or coordinating technical staff.
• Degree in surveying or geomatics preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD and survey software.
• Licensure: SIT/PLS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct daily platting/drafting activities.
• Manage staffing, assignments, and project milestones.
• Oversee QA/QC of plats and related deliverables.
• Review submissions for regulatory compliance and quality.
• Train, coach, and develop technical staff.
• Monitor workload and communicate risks to management.
• Support billing review and project controls.
• Develop SOPs and improve workflows.
