Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) in Franklin, TN, is seeking a Survey Platting Phase Manager to provide day-to-day leadership for platting and drafting teams. You will coordinate staffing, monitor schedules, and ensure quality standards while serving as a technical resource for staff and coordinating with clients and agencies.

You will mentor staff, oversee QA/QC of plats and related deliverables, and support project controls and billing activities.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in land surveying, platting, drafting, or related survey disciplines.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in surveying, geomatics, engineering, drafting/design, or related discipline preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of plat preparation, boundary and subdivision survey documentation, and easements.
• Strong proficiency with CAD and survey software; familiarity with project tracking/accounting tools is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Plan, organize, and direct daily platting and drafting activities for land survey projects.
• Assign staffing, monitor milestones, deliverables, and client deadlines.
• QA/QC plats, data, calculations, and related documents before submission.
• Review submittals for accuracy and regulatory compliance with SAM standards.
• Coach, mentor, and develop technical staff; manage performance expectations.
• Assist with staffing decisions, onboarding, and training programs.
• Monitor workload, productivity, and schedule performance; report risks to management.
• Support project controls and billings related to platting activities.
• Develop SOPs for platting workflows and ensure management approval.
• Engage in planning meetings with clients and agencies; maintain relationships with stakeholders.
