Balfour Beatty US is seeking an experienced Construction Survey Party Chief to support heavy civil and mission-critical projects. This role requires strong technical surveying skills and leadership in construction environments.

You will perform staking, topographic and as-built surveys, operate GPS and robotic total station equipment, and read plans with accuracy. The position emphasizes safety, field data collection, and collaboration with project managers and field crews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years field experience as Survey Party Chief.
• Proficiency Trimble Terramodel and TBC.
• Proficient with GPS and robotic total station.
• Ability to read construction plans and survey data.
• Strong attention to detail and self-starter.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction staking, topographic surveys, as-built surveys, and layout.
• Operate GPS and robotic total station equipment
• Read and interpret construction plans and survey data.
• Collect accurate field data and complete required documentation.
• Communicate with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel.
• Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
