Job summary

CEI Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Survey Party Chief to manage our survey party and lead diverse surveying projects.

You will coordinate field operations, supervise crew members, and ensure data collection quality across land, boundary, topographic, ALTA, and infrastructure surveys for public and private clients. The role involves training team members, maintaining equipment, and delivering accurate survey results while traveling to regional job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of field surveying experience.
• 2+ years supervising a survey crew.
• Proficiency with robotic total station, data collector, and GPS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Ability to read blueprints, plats, maps, site plans, deeds, legal documents, and field notes.
• Willingness to frequently travel to regional job sites.
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• Leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct the survey party and projects.
• Lead land, boundary, topographic, ALTA, power line, pipeline, route and construction surveys.
• Ensure timely completion and adherence to high quality standards.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to crew through all project stages.
• Oversee data collection, calculations, and filing of survey data.
