Energy Land & Infrastructure, LLC (ELI) is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead small field crews around Nashville, TN. You will perform boundary, route, topographic, and construction surveys, plus aerial (UAS) surveying, ensuring standards, schedules, and budgets are met.

The role requires supervising staff, coordinating with clients, and traveling regionally with per diem. A strong background in GNSS, Trimble tools, and Civil 3D is preferred.

Qualifications

• Formal education in surveying or related field is preferred but not required.
• Experience leading survey crews in field operations.
• Knowledge of surveying principles, methods, and field procedures.
• Certification in aerial imaging (FAA Part 107) is a plus.
• Proficiency with Trimble equipment and Civil 3D is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily field operations of a one-, two-, or three-man survey crew.
• Survey data collection using GNSS, robotic, or conventional methods.
• Determines efficient plan of action for data acquisition.
• Accurately documents work performed and sketches.
• Communicates daily with Survey Manager about schedule and progress.
• Recruits, mentors Sr. Survey Technicians and Technicians.
• Maintains vehicle and field equipment.
• Overtime, travel, and out-of-town work as required.

LSIT or CST III/IV certification

Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word
