Job summary

Civil Science is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to join our Idaho survey team. This position leads one- and two-person crews, performs construction staking, boundary, topographic, and design surveys, and uses Trimble technology to deliver accurate data.

Based in Twin Falls or Idaho Falls with travel across southeast Idaho, this role collaborates with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver infrastructure projects that shape communities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional survey field experience.
• Experience leading survey crews or independently managing field survey operations.
• Proficiency with Trimble GPS equipment, Robotic Total Stations, Trimble Business Center, Civil 3D, Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Lead field survey crews on projects throughout Idaho.
• Perform construction staking, boundary, topographic, and design surveys using Trimble equipment.
• Collect, process, and verify accurate survey data while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to support project delivery.
• Mentor junior survey staff and contribute to process improvements.
