Job summary

SkyGrid, a Wisk Company, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer (Surveillance) to lead surveillance architecture across the portfolio. You will define requirements, use cases, and MBSE models for ADS-B, radar, DAA, and TCAS/ACAS X, supporting certification and V&V throughout the lifecycle.

The role emphasizes collaboration with IPT leads and engineers; hybrid work is preferred, with potential for fully remote work. Strong leadership and safety-focused systems engineering are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace Engineering or related STEM field.
• 7+ years in a highly technical aerospace-related industry.
• 5+ years in a Systems Engineering position.
• Hands-on experience with surveillance avionics systems like ADS-B, Radar, TCAS/ACAS X, DAA.
• Familiarity with SE design phases: ConOps, requirements development, architecture, integration & test, V&V.
• Experience with ARP 4754B and capability to support ARP 4761 safety reviews.

Responsibilities

• Capture and manage system and subsystem requirements for traffic surveillance.
• Develop SysML models (Use Case, Activity, Sequence, State) using MBSE.
• Support architecture definition and integration for surveillance sensors.
• Advance design through verification, validation, and certification.
• Support system safety assessments per ARP4761A.
• Coordinate reviews for SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and qualification.
• Ensure compliance with customer, contractual, regulatory requirements.
