UPMC is looking for a full-time Lead Surgical Technologist to assist their team at the Outpatient Surgery Center (1300 Oxford Drive, Suite G100, Bethel Park, PA).Join our dynamic outpatient surgery center specializing in sports orthopedic procedures! We offer a collaborative environment where surgical technologists play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive and non-invasive procedures.
Work-Life Balance: Monday–Friday (6:30am-4pm) schedule with one rotating day off per week. No weekends, holidays, or on-call duties

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in complex surgical procedures across multiple specialties, ensuring precision and efficiency.
Maintain and oversee sterile setups, passing essential instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants.
Prepare and organize surgical supplies, ensuring proper cleanup and restocking post-procedure.
Supervise and mentor surgical technicians, providing guidance and training to new employees and students.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, aseptic techniques, and proper medication handling in accordance with established policies.
Liaise with Sterile Processing to maintain inventory accuracy and modify surgeon preference cards as needed.
Support case scheduling processes and facilitate cost-effective use of materials and equipment.
Provide leadership during daily shifts, serving as a key resource for surgical staff and assisting with problem-solving.
Prepare patients for surgery, assist in intraoperative tasks, and facilitate postoperative care, including patient transfers.
Contribute to staff education by leading annual in-service training and participating in peer review initiatives.
