Qualifications

• CPR – American Heart Association

• Preferred: 1 year in Surgery or Anesthesia Support Lead or Environmental Services; completion of medical terminology class

Expected pay for this position is $18.27 - $20.29/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead Surgery Support Specialist serves as the frontline leader, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and service excellence. This position is responsible for monitoring and validating the quality of room turnovers, terminal cleaning practices, and environmental cleanliness standards to support infection prevention initiatives and regulatory compliance. The Lead conducts routine audits, cleanliness testing, staff competency assessments, and real-time coaching to ensure evidence-based cleaning practices are consistently followed. The Lead Surgery Support Specialist coordinates staffing and workflow to support efficient patient throughput, safe surgical operations, and optimal utilization of resources across all operating room locations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• High School/GED

Other Licenses/Certifications:

• CPR – American Heart Association

Experience:

• 1 year working in healthcare setting

Other skills/knowledge:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:
