Qualifications

• Education: High School/GED.
• CPR – American Heart Association
• 1 year healthcare experience
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented mindset
• Preferred: 1 year in Surgery or Anesthesia Support Lead or Environmental Services; completion of medical terminology class

Responsibilities

• Lead Surgery Support Specialist acts as frontline leader promoting safety, accountability, quality and service excellence.
• Monitors and validates room turnovers, terminal cleaning and environmental cleanliness for infection prevention and compliance.
• Conducts audits, cleanliness testing and staff competency assessments; provides real-time coaching.
• Coordinates staffing and workflow to support patient throughput and safe surgical operations.
• Optimizes use of resources across operating room locations.
