Job summary

Turner Mining Group is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor for Pan Mine in Kingman, Arizona. You will oversee daily surface mining operations, drive production targets, enforce safety standards, and ensure environmental compliance while leading mining crews and supporting staff.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in surface/open-pit mining, strong leadership, and a proven ability to optimize productivity and manage multi-department coordination in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mining operations experience, preferably surface/open-pit.
• 3+ years of supervisory or crew management experience in mining or heavy industry.
• Proven experience managing multiple employees and contractors in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of surface mining methods, equipment, safety practices, and production planning.
• Working knowledge of MSHA regulations and mining industry best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily mining operations to achieve production goals safely and efficiently.
• Lead, mentor, and develop crews of operators, laborers, and support personnel.
• Monitor productivity, equipment utilization, and workforce performance to maximize operational effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations, safety policies, and environmental requirements.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings, safety briefings, and workplace inspections.
• Coordinate activities with maintenance, processing, geology, and engineering teams.
• Investigate incidents and operational issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Manage workforce scheduling and shift coverage; track production and safety metrics.
