Job summary

Turner Mining Group is seeking an experienced Driller to join the Mineral Park Mine team near Kingman, Arizona. The Driller will operate surface production drill rigs to create blast holes per engineering specs and mine plans, while ensuring safety, data recording, and equipment care.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of production drilling in large-scale surface mining, a strong safety commitment, MSHA compliance, and the ability to work rotating shifts and overtime when required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2+ years of production drilling experience in surface mining, quarry, or large earthmoving environment.
• Working knowledge of rotary, DTH, or blasthole drilling equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and MSHA compliance.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate surface production drill rigs to drill blast holes according to engineering specifications and mine plans.
• Read and interpret drill patterns, layouts, maps, and GPS guidance systems.
• Maintain proper hole depth, angle, spacing, and burden requirements for blasting results.
• Accurately position and collar holes according to production plans.
• Monitor drilling conditions and adjust techniques to maximize efficiency.
• Record drilling data including hole depths and equipment performance.
• Assist blasting personnel by ensuring drill patterns are completed on schedule.
• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of drilling equipment.
