Job summary

Goodwill of the Heartland is seeking a Lead Supported Community Living Specialist in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will supervise a team delivering supported living skills training to help participants gain independence and community integration.

You will create weekly team schedules for 60+ participants, manage a caseload of 18–20 clients, coordinate transportation when needed, and oversee the department budget while maintaining strong partnerships with referral sources and funders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation, or related field required.
• 1 year of work experience in social work, rehabilitation, case management, or related field required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of six or more direct support professionals providing skills training.
• Develop and implement short and long-range goals for the SCL program.
• Create weekly schedules for the team to support 60+ participants.
• Manage caseload of 18–20 clients and provide transportation as needed.
• Monitor the department budget and resources; ensure efficiency of services.
• Cultivate relationships with referral sources and funders.
