Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) seeks a Supply Technician Lead to oversee daily receipt, inspection, storage, and processing of Army equipment at Fort Carson, CO. The role ensures compliance with Army regulations and contract requirements, maintaining accurate records in logistics systems.

The Lead will verify documentation, supervise material handling, and coordinate with Army personnel to ensure timely turn-ins and property accountability.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant work experience can substitute.
• Experience: 3–5 years of logistics, warehousing, or supply experience (Army or contractor environment preferred).
• Familiarity with Army turn-in, supply, or property accountability operations strongly desired.
• Knowledge of Army regulations (AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1).
• Experience with Army logistics systems (GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP).
• Ability to interpret and process supply documentation (DA and DD forms).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Process equipment and materiel turn-ins from U.S. Army units following AR 710-2 and related manuals.
• Verify turn-in documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct visual inspections and assign correct condition codes for serviceability.
• Identify, segregate, and tag unserviceable or excess items.
• Enter data into Army logistics systems such as GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP.
• Assist in inventory reconciliation and property adjustments.
• Maintain equipment accountability throughout the turn-in process.
• Support audits and inspections by COR or Army officials.
• Store, stage, and organize equipment in designated areas.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as required.
• Follow Army and OSHA safety standards for handling and storage.
• Provide assistance to unit supply personnel during turn-in.
• Coordinate with supervisors, QA, and transportation for timely processing.
• Communicate effectively with Army representatives regarding discrepancies and corrective actions.
