Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead quality deliverables with Tier 2 suppliers and ensure conformance to CSR, drawings, and design requirements. The role interfaces with BorgWarner Supply Chain to achieve world-class cost, quality, and delivery while managing SCAR/8D activities and supplier audits.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Engineering, 5+ years in automotive quality, and IATF16949/ISO9000 knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical quality support in Automotive.
• Trained Auditor (IATF16949 preferred) and knowledge of ISO9000.
• Strong knowledge of APQP/PPAP, PPAP documentation and CI methodologies.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead Supplier Corrective Action Review (SCAR) and 8D to resolve quality issues.
• Drive Supplier Continuous Improvement using lean, Six Sigma, and VIP tools.
• Oversee APQP/PPAP submissions and ensure on-time PPAP timing.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage quarterly SC data.
• Conduct supplier quality training and audits at supplier facilities.
