BorgWarner in Seneca, SC is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives in a high-paced automotive environment with dedicated machining and assembly. You will liaison between manufacturing and customers, drive PPAP, FPY improvements, and use SPC/MSA tools to ensure product conformance.

Requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 5 years of experience (4+ acceptable) with strong problem solving and communication skills. Travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering.
• 5 years' experience required.
• Equivalent industry experience of 4+ years desirable.
• Knowledge in manufacturing problem solving (8-D Methodology) and processes.
• Working knowledge of core quality tools: Control Plans, Process Flow, FMEA, MSA, SPC.
• Ability to define problems, collect/analyze data, and draw conclusions.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; Minitab preferred.
• Auditor certification (IATF16949) preferred; knowledge of IATF16949 standards.

Responsabilités

• Act as liaison between manufacturing and customer to meet quality requirements.
• Facilitate quality activities with APQP and PPAP submissions.
• Ensure PPAP targets are met and documentation is up to date.
• Lead problem solving, risk assessments, and continuous improvement.
• Lead FPY and scrap reduction initiatives and manage quality metrics.
• Coach teams in quality systems and tools; validate changes for product integrity.
• Monitor processes via audits and product conformance verification.
• Support external audits and CAPA activities.
• Responsible for verification of corrective actions and MSA improvements.
• Travel up to 5% may be required.
