Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Supplier Quality professional to lead quality deliverables with Tier 2 suppliers and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain. You will ensure CSR, drawing/design compliance, and timely PPAP submissions, working closely with internal teams and suppliers to achieve world-class cost, quality, and delivery.

Requirements include a BS in Engineering, 5+ years in automotive quality, IATF16949 familiarity, and strong statistical/problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical quality support, interacting with clients at multiple management levels.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Automotive, Automotive Systems, or technical field.
• Trained Auditor (IATF16949 preferred).
• Strong statistical and analytical proficiency.
• Proficient in automotive problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, Six Sigma).

Responsibilities

• Lead Supplier Corrective Action Review (SCAR) and 8D to resolve series production quality concerns.
• Drive Supplier Continuous Improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
• Oversee APQP/PPAP submissions and ensure on-time PPAP timing for launches.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure supplier conformance to CSRs and SC requirements.
• Conduct supplier audits and training to meet client quality expectations.
• Travel up to 40% as required.
