Job summary

Thomas Young Group, a Dallas-based general contractor with 40 years of experience, seeks a seasoned Superintendent to lead daily site operations on commercial projects across Texas and nearby states. You will manage the construction schedule, supervise crews, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Candidates should have 8+ years' experience as a Superintendent on projects valued at $5M–$30M+, preferably grocery or big-box retail, with strong communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• 8+ years of experience as a Superintendent for a commercial general contractor.
• Strong understanding of documentation and processes between owners, architects, and contractors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, project plans, specifications, and shop drawings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and manage the construction schedule to ensure projects stay on track
• Lead and supervise construction teams and subcontractors, ensuring high-quality execution
• Implement and enforce safety protocols, maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations
• Monitor construction quality and ensure all work aligns with project specifications and industry standards
• Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction, such as delays or resource shortages

Ability to read and interpret construction documents, project plans, specifications, and shop drawings
