Job summary

RTX's Advanced Effector Guidance Systems Team seeks a Principal Subsystem Engineer (IPTL) to lead a cross-disciplinary engineering group in the development of missile guidance electronics. The role combines technical leadership with program management across multiple programs and suppliers.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in electrical hardware, subsystems, and MBSE, with a track record in mentoring and proposal development. On-site work is expected in a U.S. facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• An advanced degree may substitute for additional years of experience: Master’s = 2 years, Ph.D. = 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Guide a cross-functional team through hardware development lifecycle.
• Architect new electronic systems and document subsystem requirements.
• Lead peer reviews as SME and present to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with customer and suppliers across programs.
• Possibly travel for program needs.
