Job summary

Sargent Lundy is seeking an experienced professional to manage and grow a project team focused on the design and analysis of high voltage substations. Responsibilities include overseeing projects from concept through execution, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget, and collaborating with clients.

Ideal candidates will have a BS in engineering, extensive experience in utility transmission projects, and strong leadership abilities. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and a generous relocation package.

Qualifications

• 15+ years experience in design for high voltage substations.
• Five or more years leading an engineering design team.
• Hands-on experience with MISO facility studies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a project team of engineers and designers.
• Coordinate engineering and design from concept to execution.
• Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Skills

Project Management of Utility Transmission & Distribution Substation Projects

Design of multi-disciplined solutions

Knowledge of engineering standards (NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEC, IEEE, ANSI)

Communication skills (verbal and written)

Client liaison experience

Education

BS from an ABET-accredited engineering program or advanced management/business degree
