Job summary

Meade is seeking a Senior Protection & Control (P&C) Engineer to lead medium- to high-voltage substation protection and control design. You will produce constructible P&C packages, coordinate with SCADA, civil, and physical teams, and mentor junior staff.

A PE license and 7+ years in utilities or EPC settings are required. The role emphasizes design rigor, IEEE/NESC standards, and client engagement during reviews and commissioning.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in substation protection and control design.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Valid Electrical PE license is required.
• Proficient in developing protection one-lines, AC/DC schematics, and panel wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with protection relays, especially SEL devices, and related settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support detailed Protection & Control designs for substation projects.
• Develop complete P&C deliverables: one-line/three-line diagrams, wiring, BOMs, control logic, and I/O mapping.
• Coordinate with SCADA/RTU, communications, physical and civil design teams.
• Provide technical support for relay testing, FAT/SAT, and energization.
• Mentor junior P&C designers and engineers.
• Interface with clients and field teams during design reviews.
