Job summary

Crescent Solutions is seeking a senior Substation Engineer in the United States (Florida). The role covers design and engineering from conception to construction and commissioning, with a strong focus on project management and coordination with external engineers and transmission authorities.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering and 7+ years of related experience, with PMP or PE credentials as a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering (preferred).
• 7+ years experience in Substation design and engineering of High Voltage substation/switchyard projects (highly preferred).
• Project Engineering and/or Project Management experience with a strong bias for action.
• PMP and/or P.E. in related discipline is a plus.
• Some travel required within North America.

Responsibilities

• Lead all assigned substation projects from conception through construction and commissioning.
• Support engineering requirements and scope development with the Development Group.
• Oversee external engineers and EOR to ensure compliance with IEEE, NESC, ASCE and ISO standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers, bid, evaluate and award work via ISC group.
• Collaborate with transmission owners/isOs to meet interconnection requirements and project deliverables.
