Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Project Engineer for its Vancouver office. The role involves managing and leading a multi-discipline team to develop engineered substation designs aimed at delivering electricity safely across the United States and Northwest. Key responsibilities include overseeing engineering design efforts and ensuring adherence to quality and budget.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering and 7 years of project engineering experience, along with exemplary leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 7 years of direct project engineering experience managing design efforts for Design-only and EPC projects.
• Expert knowledge in degreed engineering discipline with basic knowledge in all other engineering disciplines.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall engineering design efforts for Design-Only and EPC projects.
• Lead and mentor a team of multi-discipline professionals.
• Prepare and manage engineering labor-hour budgets.
